The “Thai Chakkraphat” Clothing is a well-known attire associated with royalty, deriving its name from the Chakkraphatpiman throne hall. Originally introduced by Queen Sirikit, it was intended to be the national dress for women participating in royal ceremonies.
The shawl is worn in two layers, with the first layer being silk and the top adorned with an embroidered shawl. The cloth is wrapped around the waist, with the hem hanging down on both sides and tucked under the right arm, allowing the hem to drape loosely at the back. Typically, the chosen colors of the shawl complement the bottom cloth of the dress.
