In the past, “Tho Prik” served as containers for beauty cosmetics like turmeric, powder, and beeswax, typically used as a set. These sets could consist of either an even or odd number of pieces, with the most common being sets of 2 to 6 items. The term “Tho Prik” is derived from the practice of attaching a piece of gold to the lid of these jars (Tho), which is referred to as “Prik” in Thai.
